There has been some confusion about the rules concerning prospects and the Prospect Draft so I will post them here.
1: Prospect Status
A: A player is considered a prospect if he is at or below 50 IP for pitchers and at or below 150 AB's for offensive players.
B: We keep 6 MLB players and 8 prospects every season. So in the beginning of the new season and before keepers lock, any player above the limits will not be allowed to be kept as a prospect for that season.
C: The player must be drafted by a major league team. If he is in High School but hasn't been drafted by a major league team, he can't be drafted in our draft.
2: Prospect Draft
A: Our prospect draft will be held immediately after the regular draft. The picks will be submitted on the league home page in the Prospect Draft Tread section.
B: The results will be stored on this site.
C: If a player you wish to draft in the prospects draft is not in the ESPN database, we will pick a retired player still in the database and assign him to the prospect you wish to draft.
C: It is a snake draft and is 5 rounds in length.
D: During the season, you can call up any of your 5 prospects on your farm team and add them to your active roster. You can email me your move or post it on the league home page. You can call one up and put one off your active roster in his place as well.
